Get ready for the food fight of the century!
We’re bringing together top bakers, pastry chefs, and dessert artists from restaurants and bakeries across New York City to compete for a good cause. With gourmet desserts made with Chilean EVOO (donuts, brownies, ice cream, tarts and more…), competitors contend for the Grand Prize of having a donation made in his or her name to Share Our Strength’s Great American Bakeoff to end Childhood Hunger (#NoKidHungry). Attendees will also have the option of donating funds at the event, and have the ability to sign up to host their own bakeoff for charity!
The desserts will be judged by the best culinary bloggers, national magazine food writers, and an Iron Chef guest judge. The winner will be the pastry chef that creates the dessert that most exemplifies the complexities of the Chilean Extra Virgin Olive Oils. Additional prizes to restaurants and bakeries will be given away to attendees and winning bakers.
There will be an olive oil tasting with a tasting master, as well as Chilean Wine pairings to match the desserts. All attendees will receive a gift bag with EVOO cookies, a bottle of Chile’s finest EVOO, among other surprises. Entrance is free.
